This project has been included in the "Guangxi Science and Technology Plan Project" and applied to the major demonstration project "Changji Guquan ± 1100kV Ultra High Voltage Direct Current Transmission Project" (hereinafter referred to as the Changji Project). The Changji Project is the second ultra-high voltage transmission project of the national implementation of "Xinjiang Power Transmission", which has significant significance in setting a new world record.

The construction of the Changji Project has a profound impact on Xinjiang's efforts to build the "core area of the Silk Road Economic Belt", transform its energy development mode, and promote the participation of clean energy such as coal, wind energy, and solar energy in nationwide allocation.

This power super project has four "world firsts": the highest voltage level, which is the world's first line to use ± 1100 kV DC transmission voltage level; The maximum transmission capacity, with a transmission power of 12 million kilowatts; The transmission distance is the farthest, with a total length of 3293 kilometers, making it the world's longest ultra-high voltage transmission project in terms of transmission distance; The technology level is the most advanced, and for the first time, the on-site assembly scheme of ± 1100 kV indoor DC field and sending end converter transformer is adopted.
